North American Technician Excellence (NATE),  in partnership with APR Supply Co., is offering NATE test review and certification testing in conjunction with Comfortech  2013. The annual seminar and product showcase will kick off on September 18, 2013, and run through September 20, 2013 in Philadelphia.
The NATE test session is scheduled for September 17, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.  To help prepare technicians for the tests, APR Supply Co. will host a four-hour review course from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. led by 38-year HVACR veteran and APR Supply Technical Services Advisor Group Manager Eddie Howell. Technicians can choose to take the NATE Core and/or a NATE specialty exam for $125 each.
Those taking the NATE Core exam will be the first in the country to take the newly revised exam, a combination of the previously separate Core Service and Core Installation examinations, resulting in a 75-question single Core exam.

Non-ducted mini-splits are excellent technology for use in the residential arena, but for larger, light commercial applications in the U.S., the relatively new kids on the block are variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems. John Kruk, 3-time MLB All-Star and Lead Analyst, ESPN Sunday Night Baseball

John Kruk, a three-time All-Star outfielder/first baseman, serves as an analyst on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball and Baseball Tonight.  He joined ESPN for the 2004 season, making his debut during a Spring Training telecast between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies from Tampa, Fla. In March 2006, Kruk also provided game analysis for several World Baseball Classic and Spring Training telecasts on ESPN.

Kruk retired in 1995 following a 10-year Major League career with the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and the Chicago White Sox, in which he posted a .300 batting average with 100 home runs and 592 runs batted in.  During a White Sox/Orioles game, Kruk retired from baseball after hitting a single in the top of the first inning off Baltimore’s Scott Erickson.
